Car Driving Tips for Beginners

Based upon my experiance I have listed down the tips for safe car driving below. I think it doesn't take more than 3 days to learn a car driving if you seriously try to learn it. If you already know how to drive bike with gears then It will be more easy for you to learn a car driving. You must remember basic fundamentals e.g. clutch and accelerator are complementary to each other meaning There should be good synchronisation between clutch and Accelarator. There are 4 important things of the car.

• Clutch - Used While shifting the gear and Applying a brake to control a car
• Brake -Used to slow down the car
• Accelarator - Used to speed up the car
• GearBox - Used to shift the gears.

To drive the car smoothly you must have good synchronisation among all these things. Now it is time to have a look at the car driving tips.

• Before you start the car engine, You must ensure that Parking brake is removed and leg brakes are applied and also that the gear is neutral.
• Before shifting to first gear, ensure that clutch and brake is applied.
• To make the car move on first gear, Never use accelerator. You must control the movement via clutch only unless there is steep road.
• While shifting any gear ensure that Clutch is fully pressed untill you shift the gear.
• Once you shift the gear, You must release clutch and press accelerator in synchronisation
• Never drive the car alone unless you have full judgment of clutch, brake, accelerator and gearbox.
• When you are new to car driving. There is high chance that you lose your attention while shifting gear or while you are in traffic. In such conditions remember that you have to use clutch excessively.
• If you are in traffic and car engine stops, don't panic. Start the engine again and shift to first gear and move slowly.
• I will advise that unless you have full control on clutch, brake, accelerator and gearbox, You must not drive in traffic.
• Ensure that there is safe distance from car ahead of you.
• Ensure that there is safe distance from left and right side of the car.
• Never press the brake and clutch in rapid manner.
• Always slow down at intersections and traffic.
• Use indicators when you are taking turns.
