Answer to this question is not fixed as it depends on many factors as mentioned below,
- City laws
- FSI in specific Zone or locality in the city
- Road connectivity to the plot
- Budget
So for each city and each zone in the city, we can have different rules or FSI set by government town planning department.
Examples -
In Pune, in most of the parts of the city FSI is 1.5 While in Pimpri chinchwad FSI is 1. FSI is usually high near railway stations and major bus stands due to high population density.
