1. SOL- Skilled Occupation List
2. CSOL- Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List

If you wish to apply for 189 visa, your occupation must be in SOL. If you wish to apply for any other skilled visa like 190 or 487, your occupation must be available in CSOL.

e.g. Software tester occupation is not in the SOL but it is there in CSOL. So you can not apply for the 189 visa but you can apply for 190 or 487 visa.
