Verb is the word in English sentence that denotes the action.
For example -
Most of the verbs can be converted into past form and past participle using "ed" at the end of the verb.
For example -
work -> Worked ->Worked
play -> played -> played
But there are many verbs that do not follow above rule.
Example of irregular verbs are given below.
For example -
- I work in a software company.
- They are eating.
- You will go to College.
- She was not feeling well.
- We drank coffee.
1. Forms of the verb
Verb usually has 4 forms.
- Base form - eat
- Past tense form - ate
- Past Participle - eaten
- Gerund or Present participle - eating

2. Types of the verb
Verbs can be of below types.
- Simple Verbs - work, go
- Auxiliary Verbs - to be (is/am/was/were), to have (have/had),
- Modal Verbs - can, may, might, could, shall, should, ought to, will, would, must)
