Ideal Personality at Office

You need to develop a good personality to succeed in professional life. If people do not take you seriously, you may not make growth in your professional career. You need to behave in a sensible and practical manner. Do not become a laughing stock at office. Act in such a way that you get your due respect, esteem, reverence.

Here are some tips and guidelines to build a solid persona.

  1. Behave like a gentleman.
  2. Do not be talkative. Talk up to the point when necessary.
  3. Do not let other dominate you and your decisions. If you don't respond, they will push or force you to do silly and illogical things that you may not like to do.
  4. Do not let anyone to enforce or impose something on you.
  5. Do not accept or admit the things that do not make sense to you blindly.
  6. Ask for the rationale and justification behind any wrong decision or action taken against you.
  7. Do not hesitate or falter to raise your voice against unethical things.
  8. Think straightforward and be fearless.
  9. Be resolve and firm to your opinion if you think you have got a valid point to prove.
  10. Put forward your thought and ideas without fear if you think they are better than other solutions.
  11. Do not hesitate to bring out (point out/ bring forward) any bad processes in the team.
  12. If someone puts pressure, burden or stress on you needlessly, first try to convince your points and hot back or retaliate if required.
  13. Don't get intimidated, daunted, frightened, scared due to your supervisor's scrutiny. Throw the fear out of mind. Do not live in panic and distress. Do not work in miserable conditions.
  14. The ultimate solution to handle irksome boss is to be fearless. Do not care about those who pester you. Do not bother about them. Do not mind them. Disregard and ignore them. Do not pay heed to them. Do not respect them. Disrespect them.
  15. If someone attack you verbally, scold them. Reprimand them. Rebuke and reproach them. Admonish and warn them. Give them the lecture. Punish them by escalating the matter to seniors.

I strongly believe that if you can remember above points, no one can bully, oppress, harass, tyrannize or intimidate you at the office. Differences in opinion are a part of everyday life. The person who knows how to deal with problematic situation can really gain in the debate or argument, fight, row, spat, quarrel, dispute, tiff that follows after confrontation takes place. Sometimes tit for tat might prove quite beneficial, useful, helpful and advantageous. Some people may needle or provoke you prompting you to react violently, aggressively, fiercely and ferociously. But it all depends upon how you respond to it.
